Nash Bash 2004
NashBash 2004
Shelby directs total chaos!!
NashBash 2004 was held June 11, 12 and 13 at A. H. Stephens State Historic Park in Crawfordville, Georgia, and it was a very colorful affair! Last year, the elders drew lots for shirt colors and this is how the chips fell: Jo's families wore green; Carol's families wore blue; Patti's, teal; Mary's, purple; Danny's family wore red; and, Rosie and Shelby wore yellow.
The family wanted to go back to the old fashioned covered dish style Saturday lunch, and there was food a-plenty! Thanks to Jo and Sharon for their part in planning and organizing for Saturday lunch. Thanks to Carol and John D for donating the soft drinks. And, of course, thanks to Edna, who once again spent most of her time in the kitchen!
Friday evening's Karaoke night got started late, but once it got started, we heard from Faith Hill, Toby Keith, and many other great stars, like the lovely Dana Stueber, the multi-talented Jane Jameson and the ever handsome Eric Andersen. It was a lot of fun, and a good rehearsal for NashBash 2005.
Saturday breakfast was great! What a way to start the day! We had three great chefs (and one stand-by chef) and two great chefettes in charge. Thanks to Ken Andersen, Shelby Robert (who admits he didn't do much), Jimbo Muir, Eric Andersen, Patti Andersen and Keni Muir, and incidental others.
Saturday lunch was arranged and hosted by Jo and Sharon, and thanks to them, we had a great balance and an abundance of food. Sharon brought a big birthday cake in honor of Daddy's 100th birthday. It had his baby picture on top! Jo adorned the tables with white table cloths, and each table had a vase with baby's breath and a red rose. Danny blessed the meal shortly after noon, and everyone sat down for a feast.
Immediately following lunch, mike in hand, Rosie welcomed some "Honorary Nashes", A. L. and Marie Lester, and son, Josh (the family of Jessie & Kayla Nash), and Earl Slater (Gramps to Patrick & Neil Sidlovsky).

of the entire Nash Family and daughter of Jack and Julie Williams. It was announced that Adrea and Brian Tuck are expecting an addition to the family before NashBash Next! Congratulations!
Fun for the kids: There was a Nash Family Quiz for 4th generationers. There were 15 multiple-choice questions about Nash Family members, with cash prizes awarded. Grand prize winner was Jessie Nash, and she won $20.00 for having 199 out of a possible 256 correct answers about the Nash family.
The auction began immediately afterward and everyone had a great time bidding on everything from a few family heirlooms to hand made windchimes to a refurbished chandelier. The the auction brought in $950 this year, to be applied toward NashBash 2005. Family pictures followed on the steps of the picnic shelter, and everyone dispersed to enjoy the pool, boating, fishing, walking or...more importantly...resting.
A scavenger hunt was scheduled for 4 o'clock, and the eager-beavers assembled right on time. It was a challenge, but your winners are:

Saturday night was leftover night, but what a feast of good things to eat. Everyone gathered for more fun, food and festivities, until all were exhausted and it was time to disperse to the cabins and campsites.
Sunday morning farewell breakfast was hosted (again) by Keni Muir and Patti Andersen, at the campground. It was a wonderful send-off with a hug and the hope that we all see each other next year for NashBash 2005.
The Elders Meeting was not held.
