Nash Bash Central
Everything you ever wanted to know about the best family reunion on earth...
NashBash 2005
NashBash 2005 is well into the planning stages and many things are being suggested and implemented for next year. Your Planning Committee is on the job and working!
The cabins have been requested and are spoken for as follows:
Danny and families Cabin #1
Rosie and others Cabin #2
Jane, Carol & families Cabin #3
Mary & families Cabin #4
Please remember to offer any spare space to those who don't have space to sleep. Sleeping bags and mattresses on the floor are always a great idea.
Camp sites have been reserved for the Andersens and the Muirs. Anyone else who needs a campsite, please contact Webmaster@nashbash.org as soon as possible.
Patti...remember to camp as close to the campground group shelter as you can because we plan to have breakfast and Sunday morning service there (the group shelter is across the road from where Keni camps and next door to the restroom facilities).
Love to all.
8-3-04 Here's what we know so far about NB05. Suggestions and comments welcomed! RR
Victor and Nora (and Justin) have volunteered to prepare Saturday morning breakfast and picnic shelter clean up after breakfast. (Victor, you can volunteer Patti & Ken & Eric to help you, if you want to.)
Sharon has volunteered to organize the Saturday lunch (to ensure a balanced meal); Sharon has volunteered to help with the auction records and she has volunteered to help clean up the picnic shelter after lunch on Saturday. (Sharon: Please get with Jo & Pam and volunteer them to help you with the food stuff, okay?)
Rosie & Shelby have made reservations at A. H. Stephens State Park for June 10, 11 and Rosie & Shelby will arrange for shirts to be ordered, picked up, ironed and folded and delivered to NashBash. Rosie & Shelby will arrange for NashBash Passes.
Shelby has agreed to plan the Sunday morning mini-service and to lead the singing
Kim & Jane have planned a Saturday kids activity and entertainment to keep the children occupied and out of the pool immediately after lunch. This planned activity will have prizes and/or awards and will replace the Scavenger Hunt. (Still need other ideas.)
Keni & Jimbo will have the usual bonfire at their campsite on Saturday night. Everyone is invited.
I have asked Pam & Jim to assist with the auction, hawk items, describe to the auctioneer, deliver items to winning bidders, etc.
I have asked Danny if he will be responsible for supervising the final clean up of the picnic shelter on Saturday night.
I have asked Dana if she will host and arrange for a Karaoke night on Friday night. I have asked Shelby & Danny to assist her.
Tiff Tuck may have some ideas for young people's games, etc.
We still need volunteers for the following:
(Rosie & Shelby?) Friday night activities committee: Get keys from office, Open shelter, Setting up tables & chairs, entertainment, fun, food & drinks, cleanup afterward.
Saturday commentary, welcome comments…if any? Emcee? Other entertainment? Any ideas?
(Shelby?) Saturday auction: New auctioneer? Does someone else want to take a turn at it or do we count on Shelby again?
Saturday kids activities and entertainment: Still need other ideas for Games, Prizes, Awards, Pool chaperones, etc. And we need judges to count the winning items and award prizes.
Saturday night activities: We have the bonfire for the younger set, but we don’t seem to have anything going on Saturday night for others, and people seem to wander off. HELP!!! Any ideas? Sing out? Program of any kind? Card games? Board games? karaoke? Bored with games?
(Danny?) Picnic Shelter clean-up: On Saturday night, we need to clean up the picnic shelter, put away tables and chairs, wipe down everything, take out our trash, inspect the premises. Need someone to supervise, to ensure everything gets done.
(Keni & Patti?) Sunday morning breakfast team: We are planning to gather at the campground's group shelter (under the canopy – across the road from where Keni & Jim usually camp) for coffee & juice, a continental breakfast and a mini-church service. Who will organize and host this?
(Shelby, Danny, Patti, Kim, Jane C?) Sunday morning church mini-service: Speak; Read a verse of scripture, recite a poem, play the keyboard for others to sing. Prayer for the road as everyone leaves.
